On the Route of the White Villages
Prado del Rey is located in the mountains of the Cádiz province on the route of the White Villages in Andalusia. With its 6000 inhabitants and 128 bars Prado del Rey is a lively town where people like to go out and meet in the streets, which are decorated with orange and lemon trees. Especially in summer there are many concerts, flamenco, theatre and dance presentations. As an authentic Andalusian village with very little tourism Prado del Rey is an ideal place to learn Spanish. The inhabitants are friendly and open minded to foreigners and it is easy to get in touch with them.
Prado del Rey’s location between the two natural parks “Sierra de Grazalema” and “Alcornocales” makes it a great starting place for outdoor activities like canyoning, caving, trekking, trailriding or paragliding.
The culturally interesting cities of Andalusia are easy to reach, due to the good travel connections to Jerez, Sevilla, Cádiz, Ronda, etc.

Apart from all the activities, you can perfectly relax in Prado del Rey in the local swimming pools, one of those filled with saltwater from the salt-mine, in the park, in one of the cafés or on the nearby lake for bathing.
In the Cádiz mountains there are approx. 300 days of sunshine a year. The average temperature is 22°C in summer and 14°C in winter. In summer, in spite of the hot temperatures during the day, it is enjoyably fresh in the evenings thanks to the fall winds coming from the mountains.
