From Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, you\u2019ll dive into the world of Spanish. In small groups, with plenty of fun and zero pressure, you\u2019ll learn everything you need to express yourself with confidence and authenticity \u2013 not just at the market or chatting with the chef, but also in everyday situations that really matter. Communication is key \u2013 playful, practical, and immediately useful.<\/p>\n Tapas Cooking Course \u2013 experiencing Spanish with all your senses<\/strong>
On three afternoons starting at 4:00 pm, it\u2019s time to chop, fry, and laugh together: under the guidance of our experienced Andalusian chef, we\u2019ll prepare a colorful variety of traditional tapas \u2013 sometimes hearty, sometimes surprising, sometimes classic, but always authentic. Our educational program (recognized as Bildungsurlaub in Germany) is designed for food and language lovers between approx. 25 and 68 years old. The groups are intentionally mixed in ages \u2014 and that really enriches the exchange! Whether you\u2019ve just started your working life or you\u2019re treating yourself to an inspiring break: you are welcome. We have great experiences with mixed groups, where everyone brings something to the table: experience, humor, or simply good vibes.<\/p>\nI\u2019m vegetarian. Is the tapas course also suitable for me?<\/strong>
Yes! There are plenty of vegetarian tapas. If the entire group prefers vegetarian options, the menu will be 100% vegetarian. If preferences are mixed (with and without meat), we split into two subgroups and each prepares their own option, always guided by our chef.<\/p>\nWho helps me with accommodation?<\/strong>
If you wish, we can put together a complete package for you: a Spanish course at our school with accommodation included\u2014at significantly better conditions than those offered by standard booking portals. Whether you prefer a hotel, apartment, or holiday rental, we have the right accommodation for every need. That way, you benefit from our long-standing cooperation with local accommodation providers.<\/p>\nIs breakfast included?<\/strong>
Breakfast in hotels is not typical in Andalusia: here people have breakfast in caf\u00e9s. It\u2019s simple, affordable, and delicious \u2014 especially in our pedestrian street, right in front of the school. During the break we usually go together to a caf\u00e9. If you eat earlier, you can still join the coffee break \u2014 for a caf\u00e9 con leche or tea. And if breakfast is important for you, we also have an option with breakfast included.<\/p>\n✈️ What\u2019s the best way to get there?<\/strong>
Most people come by plane \u2014 it\u2019s the easiest. The closest airports are Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, and M\u00e1laga. From Seville and Jerez there are direct buses to Prado del Rey. From M\u00e1laga it\u2019s also possible by public transport, though it takes longer and involves at least one transfer. If you prefer convenience: we can arrange a transfer on demand, simple and reliable.<\/p>\nWhen do I pay for the course?<\/strong>
First, apply for educational leave<\/strong> (Bildungsurlaub) with your employer. Once you have the approval, we finalize your registration and you pay a deposit. Do you need a confirmation document beforehand for your company? No problem: you can pre-register under the condition of approval, and we\u2019ll send you all the necessary paperwork.<\/p>\nCan I participate in the program even though I don’t have the right to apply for educational leave (Bildungsurlaub)?
\n<\/strong>Yes of course! From our side this course is open to any participants from any country.<\/p>\nWhen do I need to apply for educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) in Germany?<\/strong>
According to your federal state\u2019s regulations, usually at least 6 weeks before the course starts. But the earlier, the better: many companies need time \u2014 and this way you secure your preferred date.<\/p>\nAnd what if there are only a few participants on my chosen date?<\/strong>
Honestly: it almost never happens \u2014 our courses usually fill up. Still, when you apply we\u2019ll inform you about the current status. If a date cannot go ahead, we\u2019ll offer alternatives in good time. If none fit, you can cancel or reschedule free of charge, for example to another date \u2014 always in coordination with your employer.<\/p>\nHow do I receive more information, documents, and the official educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) certificate?<\/strong>
