La ortografía española tiene unas cuantas trampas ortográficas a las que queremos dedicar una serie de posts. En este caso las palabras "vaya", "valla" y "baya" se pronuncian exactamente igual pero se escriben de forma diferente. En la lengua hablada esto no causa ningún problema porque se entiende su significado según el contexto pero a la hora de escribirlas muchas veces da lugar a dudas. "Vaya" es el imperativo del verbo "ir" en la tercera persona del singular. "Valla" es sinónimo de "cartelera" y se refiere a las carteleras publicitarias que se ven en calles y carreteras. "Baya" se refiere a todo tipo de fruto carnoso con semillas rodeadas de pulpa. Aparte de las bayas de Goji que se han puesto de moda últimamente por sus buenas propiedades nutritivas y beneficios para la salud, el término "baya" también incluye otras bayas como la frambuesa o la mora aunque estas no lo llevan en el nombre. In this case the words "vaya", "valla" and "baya" are pronounced exactly the same but they are written differently. In the spoken language this does not cause any problems because its meaning gets clear according to the context, but when it comes to writing them, they often lead to doubts. "Vaya" is the imperative form of the verb 'ir' in the third person singular. "Valla" is a synomymous with "cartelera" (billboard) and refers to the billboards seen on streets and highways. "Baya" refers to all types of fleshy fruit with seeds surrounded by pulp. Apart from Goji berries which have become fashionable lately for its nutritious properties and health benefits, the term "baya" also includes other berries like "frambuesa" (raspberry) or "mora" (blackberry), although these do not carry "baya" in their names. Abgesehen von Goji-Beeren, die für ihre nahrhaften Eigenschaften und ihren Nutzen für die Gesundheit in letzter Zeit in Mode gekommen sind, umfasst der Begriff "baya" auch andere Beeren wie "frambuesa" (Himbeere) oder "mora" (Brombeere), obwohl in ihren Namen nicht das Wort"baya" vorkommt.
