Learn Spanish with Pleasure in Andalusia
You’ve probably enjoyed tapas at your local Spanish restaurant before – those little delicacies that taste like sunshine, joy, and vacation. Maybe you’ve even tried to recreate them at home… but they just didn’t taste quite as good as in the restaurant?
Then it’s time for the original! In this unique educational holiday, you’ll immerse yourself not only in the Spanish language but also in Andalusian cuisine – right in the heart of Andalusia, in Prado del Rey, a charming white village at the edge of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, where the streets carry the scent of lemons and oranges and the mountains are always within sight.
What awaits you:
Spanish course (A1–B2): lively, communicative, practical – tailored to your level
Andalusian tapas cooking with a local chef: traditional, regional, and passed down through generations
Fresh ingredients straight from the market and regional producers
️ Speaking, laughing, learning – while chopping, sizzling, and savoring together
Cultural immersion in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park – authentic, close to nature, and inspiring
The cooking afternoons are not only a feast for the senses but also a fun way to boost your Spanish skills: side by side with other participants and guided by our charismatic chef, you’ll experience a very special kind of language immersion – relaxed, motivating, and delicious.
A cultural experience that melts on your tongue – seasoned with Mediterranean herbs, Andalusian zest for life, and the humor and charm of our kitchen host – the perfect recipe for a truly memorable educational holiday in Spain!
This is how your adventure unfolds – Learn, Cook, Enjoy
Spanish Course – lively, practical & motivating
From Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, you’ll dive into the world of Spanish. In small groups, with plenty of fun and zero pressure, you’ll learn everything you need to express yourself with confidence and authenticity – not just at the market or chatting with the chef, but also in everyday situations that really matter. Communication is key – playful, practical, and immediately useful.
Tapas Cooking Course – experiencing Spanish with all your senses
On three afternoons starting at 4:00 pm, it’s time to chop, fry, and laugh together: under the guidance of our experienced Andalusian chef, we’ll prepare a colorful variety of traditional tapas – sometimes hearty, sometimes surprising, sometimes classic, but always authentic. You won’t just watch – you’ll actively cook, using fresh ingredients, local recipes, and plenty of passion.
And the best part: the tapas cooking is also a Spanish lesson!
Along the way, you’ll pick up the vocabulary of cooking, ingredients, and preparation. While enjoying the homemade tapas together, we’ll share which dish we liked best – naturally, in Spanish.
With your new language skills and tapas talents, you’ll return home not only with stories to tell but also with flavors to impress!

Frequently Asked Questions – clear, honest and with excitement
Who is this program for?
Our educational program (recognized as Bildungsurlaub in Germany) is designed for food and language lovers between approx. 25 and 68 years old. The groups are intentionally mixed in ages — and that really enriches the exchange! Whether you’ve just started your working life or you’re treating yourself to an inspiring break: you are welcome. We have great experiences with mixed groups, where everyone brings something to the table: experience, humor, or simply good vibes.
I’m vegetarian. Is the tapas course also suitable for me?
Yes! There are plenty of vegetarian tapas. If the entire group prefers vegetarian options, the menu will be 100% vegetarian. If preferences are mixed (with and without meat), we split into two subgroups and each prepares their own option, always guided by our chef.
Who helps me with accommodation?
If you wish, we can put together a complete package for you: a Spanish course at our school with accommodation included—at significantly better conditions than those offered by standard booking portals. Whether you prefer a hotel, apartment, or holiday rental, we have the right accommodation for every need. That way, you benefit from our long-standing cooperation with local accommodation providers.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast in hotels is not typical in Andalusia: here people have breakfast in cafés. It’s simple, affordable, and delicious — especially in our pedestrian street, right in front of the school. During the break we usually go together to a café. If you eat earlier, you can still join the coffee break — for a café con leche or tea. And if breakfast is important for you, we also have an option with breakfast included.
✈️ What’s the best way to get there?
Most people come by plane — it’s the easiest. The closest airports are Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, and Málaga. From Seville and Jerez there are direct buses to Prado del Rey. From Málaga it’s also possible by public transport, though it takes longer and involves at least one transfer. If you prefer convenience: we can arrange a transfer on demand, simple and reliable.
When do I pay for the course?
First, apply for educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) with your employer. Once you have the approval, we finalize your registration and you pay a deposit. Do you need a confirmation document beforehand for your company? No problem: you can pre-register under the condition of approval, and we’ll send you all the necessary paperwork.
Can I participate in the program even though I don’t have the right to apply for educational leave (Bildungsurlaub)?
Yes of course! From our side this course is open to any participants from any country.
When do I need to apply for educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) in Germany?
According to your federal state’s regulations, usually at least 6 weeks before the course starts. But the earlier, the better: many companies need time — and this way you secure your preferred date.
And what if there are only a few participants on my chosen date?
Honestly: it almost never happens — our courses usually fill up. Still, when you apply we’ll inform you about the current status. If a date cannot go ahead, we’ll offer alternatives in good time. If none fit, you can cancel or reschedule free of charge, for example to another date — always in coordination with your employer.
How do I receive more information, documents, and the official educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) certificate?
Simply click on “Reservation request” or “More information”. In the next step you’ll receive by email, directly from the organizer: the official accreditation for your federal state, a detailed program, and a personalized offer — all in a simple process.
