Our Spanish course for families offers a tailor-made solution for parents who want to learn Spanish during the summer holidays, while their children live a valuable and enriching experience.
Learning Spanish for parents and children
The courses are designed so that parents and children benefit from each other at the same time:
Spanish courses for parents
Option 1: Super-intensive Spanish course
In the super-intensive Spanish course, classes are held in the mornings from 10:00 to 12:15 and in the afternoons from 16:00 to 19:00. With this option, children participate in the Ludoteca activities in the morning while their parents have classes. After classes, parents can pick up the children at the Ludoteca and have time for lunch together before the Spanish classes start at 16:00 for parents and children. The super-intensive course is recognised as educational leave (German Bildungsurlaub) because it comprises 6 lessons per day. The lesson times for the educational leave course are in the morning from 10:00 to 12:15 and in the afternoon from 16:00 to 19:00.
Option 2: Intensive Spanish Course
The Intensive Spanish course for adults takes place in the afternoon, from 16.00 to 19.00, at the same time as the children’s course. In the mornings, parents can use their free time to work, relax or spend time with their children.
Option 3: Individual Spanish lessons
The group course is not suitable for adults with an advanced level of Spanish from B2. Advanced participants can expand their knowledge in individual lessons. Individual lessons also take place in the afternoons between 16:00 and 19:00, while the children’s course is also running. We can customise the duration and content of the private lessons to suit your needs. The minimum duration per lesson day is one double lesson (90 minutes). One-to-one Spanish lessons are recognised as educational leave (German Bildungsurlaub) if they comprise 6 lessons. The lesson times for the educational leave one-to-one lessons are in the morning from 10:00 to 12:15 and in the afternoon from 16:00 to 19:00.
Spanish courses for children
In the mornings, in addition to the Spanish classes, numerous fun activities are organised with the local children. Our fun and communicative Spanish course for children takes place in the afternoons from 16:00 to 19:00.
Cost of the Spanish course for children
1 week course: 220 euros per child.
2-week course: 390 euros per child
Additional activities with Spanish children
For total immersion in the Spanish language and culture, children can participate in activities with Spanish children in the mornings. There are two great options, which can also be combined:
Option 1 – ‘Ludoteca
In the ‘Ludoteca’, a varied programme awaits children from 4 up to the age of 12 years:
Painting and recycling workshops.
Experiments, crafts and games.
Dance and theatre.
Opening times: Monday to Friday, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, from the beginning of July to the end of August.
Cost: 25 euros per child per week.
Option 2 – Sports camp
In the first week of July, children can participate in a sports camp organised especially for children from Prado del Rey, but also open to children from other countries. Activities include:
Football, basketball, swimming, games of skill and group games.
Age groups:
Group 1: Monday to Friday for children aged 6 to 9 years.
Group 2: Monday to Friday for 10 to 12 year olds.
Timetable: from 9:30 to 14:00.
Cost: approx. 80 euros per child, incl. personalised T-shirt and shorts.
The Spanish classes for children always take place in the afternoon, starting at 16:00 h.
Learning in a pleasant way for young and old
While parents learn in air-conditioned classrooms, children also enjoy a pleasant environment, whether during lessons, games or outdoor activities in the shade.
Effective learning for adults and children
Adults: The Spanish course for parents consists of 20 lessons per week (intensive course) or 30 lessons per week (super-intensive course) and promotes the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Authentic materials and interactive exercises are used for practical learning.
Children: Spanish courses for children combine playful learning with creative activities and are led by experienced teachers.
