En muchas ocasiones los alumnos de niveles ya un poco avanzados de español como B1 o B2 me hablan sobre algunas dificultades que tienen cuando conocen a gente joven como ellos e intentan entablar una conversación, por el lenguaje que utilizan los jóvenes en España…lo que llamamos ‘la jerga juvenil’. Hay infinidad de expresiones y palabras de vocabulario que tienen un significado concreto para los jóvenes. Para la mayoría de estudiantes de español este significado es desconocido ya que no es un tema que puedan ver en las clases de la universidad y que les llama mucho la atención porque también existe en sus propios idiomas y quieren que su español suene lo más auténtico posible. Muchas de las expresiones o palabras que escuchamos en la televisión, en la radio, etc., pertenecen a la jerga juvenil y se han asimilado de tal manera en la lengua común que muchas veces se utilizan sin saber muy bien que es un código que utilizaba solo un grupo reducido de personas (los jóvenes) y que con el paso del tiempo se ha masificado y ha cobrado importancia y popularidad. La jerga juvenil es una forma de hablar, y como la lengua española está en continuo movimiento, la lengua se renueva y sigue viva. El lenguaje juvenil se asienta en la lengua común y no solo los jóvenes utilizan este lenguaje sino se convierte en español coloquial. Cada vez más podemos escuchar a personas de diferentes edades usar este tipo de lenguaje. El origen de la jerga juvenil no está muy definido, pero la razón de la creación de este lenguaje puede ser el interés de los jóvenes por crear un código diferente al del adulto para marcar el límite de edad. Es un nuevo código de comunicación reservado para ciertas situaciones comunicativas y es también una forma propia de expresión más creativa, libre, expresiva y afectiva. Después de escuchar en clase muchos comentarios sobre la jerga juvenil por parte de los alumnos me decidí a hacer la siguiente actividad y para la que es preferible que el grupo sea dinámico y que tenga más de 5 o 6 alumnos para poder llevarla a cabo. En primer lugar, hay que hacer una pequeña introducción diciendo lo que es la jerga juvenil y la importancia que tiene en España como la explicación que he dado anteriormente. En segundo lugar, lo que hay que hacer es seleccionar una serie de expresiones y palabras de vocabulario que se utilicen habitualmente de la gran lista que podemos encontrar actualmente y que creáis que puedan ser útiles para ellos. Yo, para mi clase elegí 24 expresiones y palabras de vocabulario, dividí la clase en dos grupos: grupo A (dos personas) y grupo B (tres personas). Cogí las 24 expresiones, las escribí en tarjetas divididas en dos partes (la expresión por un lado y el significado por otro), puse las tarjetas sobre la mesa y en gran grupo tenían que ir uniendo según su intuición la expresión o palabra con su significado. El profesor debe estar observando en todo momento para así corregir las uniones que hacen los alumnos y una vez esté todo unido los alumnos deben deducir en qué contextos se podrían utilizar. El objetivo principal de esta actividad es que los alumnos hablen todo el tiempo en español y que los propios alumnos puedan interpretar el significado entre ellos. El profesor estará en todo momento atento a las explicaciones que dan y así poder corroborar el significado de cada expresión. Una vez que ya se sabe el significado de todo se propone a los alumnos hacer un diálogo, cada grupo debe hacer un diálogo utilizando la jerga juvenil que se ha visto. Y aquí os puedo mostrar dos de las creaciones de mis alumnos/as. Diálogo grupo A: Madre: ¿Por qué no estuviste en clase de Historia ayer? ¡Ir a la escuela cada día es muy importante! Hija: ¡No me ralles! Yo sé lo que tengo que hacer. No pienso que necesite Historia para mi futuro. Además tengo un marrón. Pero no tengo ganas de explicártelo. Madre: ¡Hacer rabona no es la solución para tus problemas! ¡Tienes que ir a la escuela! Hija: ¡Bien! Déjame en paz. No fui a clase…Se me fue la olla. Diálogo grupo B: Ana: ¡Hola tías! Inés: ¿Qué pasa? Lucía: ¿Ya habéis escuchado las últimas novedades? Ana: ¡No, cuéntanos! Lucía: ¡Ayer, Juan estaba tan colgado que entró en pelotas a una tienda e intentó cubrirse con una toalla! Inés: ¡No flipes! Lucía: Pues, la pasma lo arrestó y ahora está en el talego. Ana: ¡La cagó! ¿Y ahora qué? Lucía: Da igual, ¡vamos a la discoteca a ponernos ciegas…! Esta actividad es muy interesante, los alumnos interactúan entre ellos, se desarrolla la creatividad, hablan en español, conocen la jerga juvenil y se divierten a la vez. Tengo que reconocer que esta actividad ha funcionado muy bien y que nos hemos reído mucho en clase, que es algo fundamental…aprender español y divertirse. Los alumnos se lo pasaron bomba en la clase y yo me reí mucho con ellos. Os recomiendo esta actividad para vuestros grupos del nivel B1 y B2. And over the time they have become commoditized and have gained importance and popularity. The youth slang is a way of speaking, and like the Spanish language, it is continuously renewed and alive. The youth language has turned into a common language or colloquial Spanish and not only young people use it. Increasingly we can hear people of different ages use this kind of language. The origin of the teenage slang is not defined, but the reason for the creation of this language may be the interest of young people to create a code that is different from the adults' to mark the age limit. It is a new communication code reserved for certain communicative situations and it is also a proper form of expression of the youth which is more creative , free, expressive and affective. After listening to many comments on the youth slang by the students in my class I decided to do the following activity. It is preferable that the group is dynamic and has more than 5 or 6 students to carry it out. First, I did a short introduction about what the youth slang about its importance in Spain, like the explanation I have given above. I had selected a series of commonly used phrases and vocabulary words from the long list of youth slang you can find currently, that we think may be useful for our students. I chose 24 expressions and vocabulary words for my class and divided the class into two groups: group A (two people) and group B (three people). I had written the 24 expressions on little cards devided into two parts (the expression on the one hand and the meaning on the other hand). Then I put the cards on the table and the whole group had to try to unite expression or word with its meaning according to their intuition. I observed their conversations all the time and helped the students find out the correct connections. Once everything was solved, the students had to deduce in what contexts each expression could be used. The main objective of this activity is that the students talk in Spanish all the time and that they can interpret the meaning of the expressions among them. I was especially attentive to the students' explanations and thus corroborated the meaning of each expression. Once everybody knew the meaning of all the expressions, I proposed the students to make a dialogue in their small groups, using the youth slang we had just learned. This activity is very interesting, as students interact with each other, they develop creativity, they speak Spanish, get to know the Spanish youth slang and have fun at the same time. I have to say that this activity worked very well and we laughed a lot in class, which is fundamental ... learning Spanish and having fun. The students had a great time in class and I laughed a lot with them. I recommend this activity to other Spanish teachers for their groups of the B1 and B2 level. Das kommt daher, dass die jungen Leute in Spanien die sogenannte 'jerga juvenil , "die Jugendsprache verwenden. Es gibt unzählige Ausdrücke und Wörter, die eine bestimmte Bedeutung für junge Leute haben. Diese sind für die meisten Sprachschüler, die Spanisch lernen unbekannt, weil die Jugendsprache in der Regel kein Thema im Spanischunterricht an einer Universität, Fachhochschule oder Volkshochschule ist. Aber es ist ein Thema, das die Kursteilnehmer wirklich interessiert, weil sie natürlich in ihrer eigenen Sprache Slang-Ausdrücke verwenden, und wollen, dass ihr Spanisch so authentisch wie möglich klingt. Viele der Ausdrücke oder Wörter, die wir im Fernsehen, Radio usw. hören, gehören zur Jugendsprache, aber haben sich in der normalen Sprache so eingebürgert, dass sie oft verwendet werden, ohne dass es den Leuten bewusst ist, dass sie ursprünglich aus der Jugendsprache kommen. Und im Laufe der Zeit haben sie an Bedeutung und Popularität gewonnen und sich in allen Sprachebenen verbreitet. Die Jugendsprache ist eine Art zu sprechen, die lebendig und in ständiger Bewegung ist, und die sich laufend verändert, wie die spanische Sprache auch. Die Jugendsprache ist nicht nur den Jugendlichen vorbehalten, sondern wir hören zunehmend Menschen unterschiedlichen Alters, die diese Art von Sprache verwenden. Der Ursprung der Jugendsprache ist nicht genau bekannt, aber der Grund für die Schaffung dieser Sprache kann im Interesse der jungen Menschen liegen, sich von der Sprechweise der Erwachsenen abzuheben und die Altersgrenze zu markieren. Für die jungen Leute ist es eine neue "Geheimsprache" für bestimmte Situationen, und es ist auch eine eigene Ausdrucksform, die kreativer, freier, ausdrucksstärker und gefühlsbetonter ist. Nachdem ich viele Kommentare über die Jugendsprache von den Sprachschülern in meinen Gruppen gehört hatte, habe ich beschlossen, die folgende Aktivität in den Unterricht einzubauen. Es ist von Vorteil, wenn die Gruppe ist dynamisch ist und aus mehr als 5 oder 6 Schülern besteht. Als erstes habe ich ihnen eine kurze Einführung über die Jugendsprache und ihre Bedeutung in Spanien gegeben, ähnlich der Erklärung, die ich oben gegeben habe. Als Vorbereitung hatte ich eine Reihe von häufig verwendeten Redewendungen und Vokabeln aus der langen Liste der Jugendsprache ausgewählt, von denen ich denke, dass sie für meine Schüler interessant sein können. Ich habe mich für 24 Ausdrücke und Vokabeln entschieden und die Klasse in zwei Gruppen geteilt: Gruppe A (zwei Personen) und Gruppe B (drei Personen). Ich hatte die 24 Ausdrücke auf kleine Karten geschrieben, einerseits die Ausdrücke und andererseits deren Bedeutung. Die Karten wurden auf den Tisch gelegt die ganze Gruppe musste versuchen, die Ausdrücke oder Wörter mit ihrer Bedeutung zu vereinen, nach ihrem Gefühl. Ich habe ihre Fortschritte beobachtet und den Sprachschülern geholfen, die richtigen Verbindungen zu finden. Nachdem alles gelöst war, sollten die Sprachschüler ableiten, in welchem Zusammenhang jeder Ausdruck verwendet werden könnte. Das Hauptziel dieser Übung ist, dass die Schüler die ganze Zeit auf Spanisch miteinander reden und die Bedeutung der Begriffe untereinander interpretieren. Ich war habe mir aufmerksam ihre Erläuterungen angehört und habe dann die richtige Bedeutung der einzelnen Ausdrücke bestätigt. Als die Kursteilnehmer nun die Bedeutung aller Ausdrücke kannten, habe ich ihnen vorgeschlagen, einen Dialog in ihren kleinen Gruppen zu machen, in dem sie die gerade erlernte Jugendsprache anwenden. Diese Aktivität ist sehr interessant, weil die Sprachschüler miteinander interagieren, Kreativität entwickeln, Spanisch sprechen, die spanische Jugendsprache kennenlernen und gleichzeitig jede Menge Spaß haben. Ich muss sagen, dass diese Aktivität sehr gut funktioniert hat und wir viel gelacht haben im Unterricht, was sehr wichtig ist... Spanisch lernen und Spaß haben. Noch dazu haben sie in den folgenden Tagen lustige Situationen mit Einheimischen erlebt, bei denen sie mit ihren neu erworbenen Kenntnissen der Umgangssprache Eindruck gemacht haben. Ich kann diese Aktivität anderen Spanischlehrern wärmstens für ihre Gruppen im B1- und B2-Niveau.
