Hoy, 28 de febrero, hemos celebrado el Día de Andalucía. Como nos gusta meter contenido cultural en las clases de español de una forma amena siempre preparamos una sesión especial para este día festivo regional. Como buenas andaluzas, colgamos banderitas de Andalucía en la escuela, nos pusimos nuestra flor en la cabeza (les explicamos a los estudiantes que en las fiestas andaluzas las mujeres llevan un vestido llamado traje de gitana y una flor) y comenzamos con la clase de español dedicada a este día. Si queréis usar esta actividad en vuestra clase la podéis descargar al final de la entrada. Al tratarse de una sesión especial, hemos unido a ambos grupos de estudiantes para que pudiesen vivir esta experiencia juntos; además consideramos que los estudiantes aprenden los unos de los otros y es interesante que escuchen diferentes opiniones sobre Andalucía y que las contrasten. En primer lugar, les explicamos que Andalucía es una de las 19 comunidades autónomas de España y que consiste en 8 provincias: Cádiz, Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén y Almería. Hemos hablado sobre aquellos elementos culturales más importantes de cada provincia andaluza, por ejemplo, el Gran Teatro Falla, la playa “La Caleta”, La Alhambra, Sierra Nevada, el Parque de las Ciencias, el Museo Picasso, la Alcazaba de Málaga, el Teatro Cervantes, etc.. Asimismo, los alumnos han conocido personas importantes para la cultura andaluza, como Federico García Lorca, Picasso, Antonio Banderas o Farruquito, todos ellos muy conocidos en España y a nivel internacional. Añadiendo también un poco de vocabulario específico del flamenco (bailaor, tocaor, cantaor…). Además, hemos concienciado a nuestros estudiantes de la importancia que tiene la protección de la naturaleza en Andalucía ya que el 32% de su superficie son espacios naturales protegidos (parques nacionales, parques naturales, etc.). Hemos mencionado dos especies especialmente protegidos que están en peligro de extinción: el pinsapo y el lince. Para adentrarnos más en la cultura andaluza, hemos leído en clase el poema “Andalucía” de Manuel Machado, un admirable poeta andaluz, donde define, simbólicamente, cada provincia: Cádiz, salada claridad Granada, agua oculta que llora Romana y mora, Córdoba callada Málaga cantaora Almería, dorada Plateado Jaén Huelva la orilla de las tres carabelas y Sevilla ... Después de asegurarnos que a todos los estudiantes les ha quedado claro el significado de cada línea del poema, hemos realizado una “lluvia de ideas” para que, entre todos, definiesen lo que significa Andalucía para ellos. Obteniendo términos como: flamenco, mar, vino, sol rojo (el sol rojo tendrá que ver con la puesta del sol que vimos en la ruta de senderismo de ayer), etc.. ¡Ha sido muy divertido! Con todo, también era preciso que los alumnos ubicasen cada una de las provincias en el mapa, asociando qué elementos culturales posee cada una. Contando qué han conocido estando en Andalucía y qué conocían previamente. Por último, hemos realizado una actividad a la que hemos llamado Algunos de los tesoros de Andalucía que te recomendamos descubrir. Para su desarrollo, hemos seleccionado, con gran dificultad, cuatro monumentos, parajes, personajes, tradiciones o fiestas destacadas de cada una de las provincias andaluzas, y con sus imágenes hemos diseñado tarjetas con el fin de que los alumnos pasen, aunque sea de puntillas, por cada una de las provincias y conozcan así, su riqueza y sus tesoros. De este modo, una vez repartidas las tarjetas a lo largo de la mesa, hemos pedido a nuestros alumnos que intenten asociar cada una de ellas con su lugar de procedencia. Ha sido muy gratificante, por un lado, ver cómo nuestros estudiantes reconocían muchas de las imágenes, puesto que habíamos hablado de ellas a lo largo de la sesión y, por otro, cómo se interesaban por aquellas que no conocían y que acababan de descubrir. Nosotras, las profesoras, nos hemos encargado de transmitir a nuestros alumnos datos curiosos, así como históricos, culturales o artísticos. Al final de la actividad, nuestros alumnos nos han hecho saber su creciente interés por recorrer y visitar las tierras de Andalucía. Ha sido una sesión muy amena, ya que todos han participado de forma activa y hemos interactuado bastante, por lo que no nos ha dado tiempo a realizar la última actividad: que los estudiantes creasen un poema sobre Andalucía, pero, en general, nos ha resultado una clase muy agradable y relevante en cuanto a nuestra cultura. Para terminar, hemos ido juntos a desayunar como cada día y como toque especial el dueño del bar nos ha puesto el himno de Andalucía. As good Andalusians, we hung little Andalusian flags in the language school, we put a flower in our hair (we explained to the students that at Andalusian festivals women wear a dress called a gypsy dress and a flower) and we began with the Spanish class dedicated to this day. As it was a special Spanish lesson, we put together both groups of students so that they could live this experience together. We also consider that the students learn from each other and it is interesting that they listen to different opinions about Andalusia and that they contrast these. Firstly, we tought them that Andalusia in one of the 19 autonomous regions in Spain and it consists of 8 provinces: Cádiz, Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén and Almería. We talked about the most important cultural elements of each province of Andalusia, such as the Gran Teatro Falla, the beach "La Caleta", the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada, the Science Park, the Picasso Museum, the Alcazaba Of Málaga, the Cervantes Theater, etc. Likewise, the students were introduced to important people for the Andalusian culture, such as Federico García Lorca, Picasso, Antonio Banderas or Farruquito, all of them well known in Spain and internationally. Adding also some specific flamenco vocabulary (bailaor, tocaor, cantaor ...). In addition, we have made our students aware of the importance of nature protection in Andalusia since 32% of the area are protected natural areas (national parks, natural parks, etc.). After making sure that all the students understood the meaning of each line of the poem, we made a brainstorming to define among all the students what Andalusia means to them. Getting terms such as flamenco, sea, wine, red sun (the red sun probably has to do with the sunset we saw on the hiking tour yesterday), etc.. It was fun! After that, we asked the students to locate each of the provinces on the map, associating what cultural elements are related to each province. They told us what they have learned while being in Andalusia and what they previously knew. Finally, we did an activity that we called "Some of the treasures of Andalusia that we recommend you to discover". To carry it out we selected four monuments, places, important persons, traditions or celebrations of each of the Andalusian provinces. We had designed cards with pictures of those elements and asked the students to make an imaginary trip through each Andalusian province, even if it is only on tiptoe. Like that they got to know a little of each of the provinces, its wealth and its treasures. Thus, once the cards were distributed on the table, we asked our students to try to associate each of them with their place of origin. It was very gratifying, on the one hand, to see how our students recognized many of the pictures, since we had talked about them throughout the session and, on the other hand, how interested they were in those they did not know and had just discovered. The teachers were in charge of transmitting to our students interesting historical, cultural or artistic facts. At the end of the activity, our students made us aware of their growing interest in touring and visiting the provinces of Andalusia. It was a very enjoyable session, since everyone participated actively and we interacted a lot. We had planned an additional activity, as we always to in case the lesson flows quicky and there is some time left. In this additional activity the students would have had to creat a poem about Andalusia themselves, working in pairs. Today we did not have any time left for this activity but we are happy with the result of this very nice and relevant class in terms of culture. Da wir gerne kulturelle Inhalte in angenehmer Weise in den Spanischunterricht einbringen, bereiten wir immer eine spezielle Stunde für diesen regionalen Feiertag vor. Als gute Andalusierinnen hatten wir andalusische Fähnchen in der Sprachschule aufgehängt und uns eine Blume ins Haar gesteckt (wir haben den Sprachschülern erklärt, dass bei andalusischen Festen Frauen ein sogenanntes Zigeunerkleid und eine Blume tragen) und dann haben wir mit dem Spanischunterricht angefangen, dem heutigen Feiertag gewidmet war. Da es sich um eine spezielle Spanisch-Lektion handelte, haben wir beide Gruppen von Studenten zusammengelegt, damit sie diese Erfahrung gemeinsam machen können. Wir halten es für sinnvoll, dass die Schüler voneinander lernen und wir möchten, dass sie verschiedene Meinungen über Andalusien hören und diese vergleichen. Zuerst haben wir den Studenten erklärt, dass Andalusien eine der 19 autonomen Regionen von Spanien ist und aus 8 Provinzen besteht: Cádiz, Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén und Almería. Wir haben über die wichtigsten kulturellen Elemente jeder Provinz Andalusiens gesprochen, wie z.B. das Gran Teatro Falla, der Strand "La Caleta", die Alhambra, die Sierra Nevada, der Wissenschaftspark, das Picasso Museum, die Alcazaba von Málaga, das Cervantes Theater, etc. Ebenso haben wir den Sprachschüler wichtige Persönlichkeiten aus der andalusischen Kultur vorgestellt, wie z.B. Federico García Lorca, Picasso, Antonio Banderas oder Farruquito, die alle in Spanien und international bekannt sind. Auch einige spezifische Flamenco-Vokabeln (bailaor, tocaor, cantaor, ...) haben wir ihnen beigebracht. Darüber hinaus haben wir unseren Studenten die Bedeutung des Naturschutzes in Andalusien bewusst gemacht, da 32% der Fläche als Naturschutzgebiete (Nationalparks, Naturparks usw.) geschützt sind. Wir haben zwei besonders geschützte Arten erwähnt, die vom Aussterben bedroht sind: der Pinsapo (Igeltanne) und der Iberische-Luchs. Um einen tieferen Einblick in die andalusische Kultur zu geben, haben wir in der Gruppe das Gedicht "Andalucía" von dem berühmten andalusischen Dichter Manuel Machado gelesen, in dem er symbolisch jede Provinz definiert: Cádiz, salada claridad Granada, Agua oculta que llora Romana y mora, Córdoba callada Málaga cantaora Almería, dorada Plateado Jaén Huelva la orilla de las tres carabelas Y Sevilla ... Nachdem wir sicher waren, dass alle Schüler die Bedeutung jeder Zeile des Gedichts verstanden haben, haben wir ein Brainstorming gemacht, um mit allen Kursteilnehmern zu definieren, was Andalusien für sie bedeutet. Begriffe wie Flamenco, Meer, Wein, rote Sonne (die rote Sonne hat wohl mit dem Sonnenuntergang zu tun, den wir auf der Wanderung gestern gesehen haben), etc.. Es hat Spaß gemacht! Danach haben wir die Schüler aufgefordert, jede der Provinzen auf der Karte zu finden und zuzuordnen, welche kulturellen Elemente zu welcher Provinz gehören. Sie haben uns berichtet, was sie gelernt haben, während sie in Andalusien waren und was sie vorher schon wussten. Schließlich haben wir eine Aktivität gemacht, die wir "Einige der Schätze von Andalusien, die wir empfehlen, zu entdecken" nennen. Dazu haben wir vier Denkmäler, Orte, wichtige Personen, Traditionen oder Feiern aus jeder der andalusischen Provinzen ausgewählt. Wir hatten Karten mit Bildern von diesen Elementen vorbereitet und die Kursteilnehmer aufgefordert, eine imaginäre Reise durch jede andalusische Provinz zu machen, auch wenn es nur auf Zehenspitzen ist. So lernten sie ein wenig von jeder der Provinzen kennen, ihren Reichtum und ihre Schätze. Als die Karten auf dem Tisch verteilt waren, baten wir unsere Schüler, jede von ihnen ihrer Herkunftsprovinz zuzuordnen. Es war sehr erfreulich, einerseits zu sehen, wie unsere Sprachschüler viele der Bilder erkannten, da wir während der Stunde darüber gesprochen hatten und andererseits, wie interessiert sie waren, mehr über die Bilder, die sie nicht kannten zu erfahren. Wir Lehrerinnen haben unseren Schülern interessante historische, kulturelle oder künstlerische Aspekte vermittelt. Am Ende der Übung haben uns die Schüler berichtet, dass sie durch sie ein gesteigertes Interesse haben, die Provinzen von Andalusien zu bereisen. Durch die rege Teilnahme und Interaktion der Sprachschüler untereinander und mit den beiden Lehrerinnen war es eine sehr angenehme Spanisch-Stunde. Wir hatten eine zusätzliche Aktivität vorbereitet, wie wir es immer machen, falls wir schnell vorankommen und noch Zeit übrig ist. In dieser zusätzlichen Aktivität hätten die Schülerinnen und Schüler in Partnerarbeit selbst ein Gedicht über Andalusien schreiben sollen. Heute hatten wir keine Zeit für diese Zusatz-Aktivität, aber wir sind zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis dieser kulturellen Spanisch-Stunde. Abschließend sind wir, wie jeden Tag, zusammen frühstücken gegangen, und als besondere Zugabe spielte der Wirt die andalusische Hymne für uns. Wir hatten einen tollen Vormittag.
